Curly Hair Solutions is the premier manufacturer of curly hair products and the creator of the popular Curl Keeper® brand. They have a loyal fanbase among salons and users, and as such, are distributed nationwide. In 2018, Curly Hair Solutions came to Amazzia with a problem. Their distributors, who were supposed to be selling to salons, were selling Curl Keeper on Amazon without Curly Hair Solutions’ knowledge. In an attempt to control pricing and brand integrity on Amazon, Curly Hair Solutions launched on the Marketplace, only to be undercut by lower prices. They were not “winning” the buy box.
With dozens of unauthorized sellers competing for the buy box, the Curl Keeper Collection’s Amazon trading price dropped to as much as 50% off retail pricing.
